- No sign-up Open the page and start.
- No watermark Your collage, nothing added.
- Nothing uploaded Made in your browser, on your device.
- Up to 20 photos With layouts that fit their shapes.
Turn your favourite photos into a wallpaper collage for your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. Pick the screen first, so the collage is made at that screen’s full pixels, then add up to 20 photos and choose a layout drawn for them: a calm three or four, or an aesthetic wall of twenty. Swap and zoom the photos, leave room for the clock and the icons, and download a sharp JPG that is ready to set as your background. It’s free, with no sign-up and no watermark, and nothing is uploaded.
How to make a collage wallpaper
- Pick your screen. Choose Phone, Tablet, Laptop or a 4K Desktop. Each size is a real screen’s pixels, so the wallpaper is sharp and isn’t stretched.
- Add your photos. Add up to 20 photos and pick a layout drawn for them. More photos make a busier, more aesthetic wallpaper; three or four keep it calm.
- Leave room for the clock and icons. Drag the photos so faces sit clear of where your phone’s clock or your laptop’s dock and icons go.
- Download and set it. Download the JPG, then set it as your wallpaper; the steps for each device are below.
Wallpaper sizes
| For | Shape | Size in pixels | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1290 × 2796 | Phone | 1290 × 2796 | A large iPhone’s screen; it scales down to smaller iPhones and most Android phones. |
| 2048 × 2732 | Tablet | 2048 × 2732 | A 12.9-inch iPad’s screen; fine for smaller iPads and Android tablets too. |
| 2560 × 1600 | Laptop | 2560 × 1600 | A 16:10 laptop screen, such as a MacBook’s. |
| 3840 × 2160 | 4K | 3840 × 2160 | A 4K monitor or TV; it scales down to any 16:9 screen. |
| Wallpaper | 16:9 | 1920 × 1080 | Laptop and TV wallpapers, slides and video covers. |
A wallpaper made smaller than the screen gets stretched and soft; made bigger, it is simply scaled down. When your screen isn’t listed, pick the size with the closest shape.
Tips for an aesthetic wallpaper collage
- Keep the top of a phone wallpaper quiet. The lock screen puts the date and clock there; put a sky or a plain photo in that frame.
- Mind the dock and the icons. On a laptop, the dock or taskbar covers the bottom edge and desktop icons line one side.
- Pick photos that share a colour. A wallpaper is looked at all day; a few tones that go together are easier on the eye than every colour at once.
- Many small or a few big. Fifteen to twenty photos make the busy, moodboard look; three or four big ones read better behind app icons.
Questions
What size should a phone wallpaper collage be?
Make it at least as big as your screen. The Phone size here is 1290 × 2796 pixels, a large iPhone’s screen, which scales down cleanly to smaller iPhones and to most Android phones, whose screens are a similar tall shape.
What size is a laptop or desktop wallpaper?
Most laptops are 16:10 (the Laptop size, 2560 × 1600, fits a MacBook) or 16:9. For a monitor or TV, the 4K Desktop size (3840 × 2160) scales down to any 16:9 screen.
How do I set a collage as my iPhone wallpaper?
Save the collage to Photos, open it, tap the share button and choose Use as Wallpaper. Or go to Settings, Wallpaper, Add New Wallpaper, Photos.
How do I set it on an Android phone?
Long-press an empty spot on the home screen and choose Wallpaper (the name varies by phone), then pick the collage from your photos.
How do I set it on a Mac or a Windows PC?
On a Mac, right-click the downloaded file in Finder and choose Set Desktop Picture. On Windows, right-click it and choose Set as desktop background.
Is it free?
Yes. It’s free, with no sign-up and no watermark, and your photos are put together in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Why does my wallpaper look zoomed in on my phone?
Phones can move the wallpaper as you tilt them, which zooms it a little. Turn off Perspective Zoom (iPhone) or the motion effect in your phone’s wallpaper settings to show it exactly as made.
